چکیده

Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) is an important parameter for the analysis of Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals. CCDF curves are known to have great importance in the study of signal performance on the basis of power level. This paper presents the CCDF performance of the OFDM signal with different number of carriers. Simulation is used to implement the CDF equation and its accuracy is checked on the results. Theoretical results and simulation results are compared. Key wordsCrest factor, CCDF, OFDM, PAPR, and PDF.

Gaussian and Flat Rayleigh Fading Channel Influences on PAPR Distribution in MIMO-OFDM Systems

Multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems (MIMO-OFDM) has became a promising candidate for high performance 4G broadband wireless communications. However, like OFDM, one main disadvantage of MIMO-OFDM is that the signals transmitted on different antennas may exhibit a prohibitively large peakto-average power ratio (PAPR). In this paper, the influence of g...

Comparative Performance Analysis for Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction in OFDM System Based on the Fractional Fourier Transform Using Selective Mapping and an Active Constellation Extension Technique

—Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is an attractive modulation technique for transmitting large amounts of digital data over radio waves. One major disadvantage of OFDM is the high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) considered as the main implementation drawback of OFDM system. In this paper, we are discussing about PAPR, which affects the performance and efficiency of Power Am...

Research on modified selected mapping technique for PAPR reduction and reception performance improvement in 8QAM-OFDM optical access systems

Background: Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing has been regarded as one of the promising technologies for the optical access systems application. However, high peak-to-average power ratio will cause the signal distortion and enable the used amplifier to operate in nonlinear section. Methods: In this paper, a modified selected mapping technique is introduced for reducing the peak-to-aver...

On DT-CWT Based OFDM: PAPR Analysis

High Peak – to – average power ratio (PAPR) of transmitted signals is a major shortcoming for multicarrier modulation system such as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and wavelet packet modulation (WPM). This paper introduces a novel OFDM system base on dual – tree complex wavelet transform (DT-CWT). In the proposed scheme, DTCWT is used in the place of fast Fourier transform (F...
